solar Lights

Every evening, when the sun sets, the families of Zaza Village adapt to the darkness. Only small fires, used for cooking, illuminate the village. We all know how inconvenienced we are by a short power outage, but this is routine life for the families of Zaza. With the support of MPOWERD, The Bridge to Hope has provided over 50 families with two lights each in Zaza. These lights are solar powered and allow a safer alternative, rather than fire, for lighting. Children now have the ability to further their education at home and ensure a basic utility for these families. MPOWERD offered us 50% discount for this project. We want to thank everyone who gave to make this a reality. We will continue to support this project. Please contact us using the form below if you are interested.

The Details

  • Many Rwandans don’t have access to electricity.*

    • What does that mean?

      • Electricity provides access to better health care, jobs, education and improves the daily lives of Rwandans.

    • What are we doing?

      • This Solar Lights Project is the beginning of our goal to provide Zaza with a reliable source of electricity. The solar lights we have provided allow children and families to safely work and study at night.
